HOW IT WORKS

The Solar Lander® has a low energy motor and clever electronics enabling it to rotate the panel at the same pace as we do around the sun and is powered by the solar panel charge controller. The panel comes with an 8 metre charging cable which can be connected to any 12v battery setup or vehicle battery. The Dusk-Dawn sensor will detect sunset, stop the rotation, and automatically return the solar panel to face sunrise position in readiness to begin tracking the sun again in the morning.

Solar Lander® FAQ

Can I use my own solar panel with the Solar Lander?
Yes, providing that your panel is under the specified maximum 12kg weight limit but we strongly recommend selecting our Nagonic panels which have been specifically designed to compliment the Solar Lander®.

How does it align with the sun?
On initial setup, The Solar Lander® is positioned with the triangular logo facing sunrise position. Then the panel can be rotated manually to face the suns current position. The Solar Lander® will then automatically rotate at the same pace as the sun either clockwise or anti-clockwise depending if you are in the northern or southern hemisphere. At dusk, the rotation is automatically stopped and the panel will rotate back to sunrise position ready to start again in the morning.

Does the Solar Lander® stop when a cloud covers the sun?
Unlike most solar trackers, the Solar Lander® will continue to face the suns position irrespective of cloud density and will therefore still be using the suns rays to add charge to your battery setup.
